Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Next Inning ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Next Inning at https://nextinning.org (the "Service"). Next Inning is a youth-baseball organization platform for finding games, managing teams and leagues, booking umpires, and running tournaments.

Information we collect
  • Account information. When you create an account or sign in (including via Facebook Login or another identity provider), we receive your name, email address, and—if you provide it—your phone number and general home city/area.
  • Profiles you create. Teams, leagues, fields, umpire profiles, and player profiles. Player profiles may include a player's name, birth date, age group, positions, and skill level. Player profiles are created and managed by an adult guardian (see "Children's privacy").
  • Content. Messages and posts you write (team and league boards), feedback you submit, scores, and scheduling details.
  • Location. A general city/area you set, used to sort games and fields by distance. We do not track precise GPS location.
  • Payments. If you pay or receive fees, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we keep transaction records (amounts, status, dates).
  • Technical data. IP address, device/browser information, and session/authentication cookies needed to operate the Service.
How we use information
  • Provide and operate the Service—accounts, scheduling, rosters, standings, and bookings.
  • Send you notifications and emails about activity you're involved in (you can control these in your profile's notification settings).
  • Process payments and payouts for game/field/umpire/tournament fees.
  • Maintain safety, security, and the integrity of the Service.
How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • Publicly, when you choose to. Profiles set to "Public" (e.g., teams, leagues) are visible to anyone. Player profiles default to members-only and are not public unless a guardian opts in.
  • With service providers that run the Service on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (hosting/infrastructure), our identity provider / Keycloak (authentication), Amazon SES (email), and Facebook (only if you choose Facebook Login).
  • For legal reasons when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Facebook Login

If you sign in with Facebook, we receive your name and email address from Facebook to create or match your account. We do not post to Facebook on your behalf and do not access your friends or other Facebook data. You can remove Next Inning from your Facebook account's Business Integrations / Apps and Websites settings at any time, and you can delete the data we hold using the steps below.

Children's privacy

Next Inning is used to organize youth sports, so the platform contains information about minors (player profiles). Player profiles are created and controlled by an adult parent/guardian, who is responsible for the information they enter and for the player's profile visibility. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own accounts or to provide personal information to us directly without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us information without such consent, contact us at privacy@nextinning.org and we will delete it.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in sessions and security (including anti-forgery protection). We do not use advertising cookies.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal/financial obligations. You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time—see our Data Deletion page.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can edit most details in your profile, delete your account from the Data Deletion page, or contact us at privacy@nextinning.org.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, managed cloud infrastructure, and delegated authentication) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide additional notice.
